Market Day
Helpers
Always grateful coordinators looking for once a month, one hour
commitment (4 p.m. to 5 p.m.) Volunteers’ children are welcome and can
play while we pack boxes and get the orders ready. Market Day will be
running from September through May.
Can’t
make it every month? That’s okay—volunteer for just one month, all help
is appreciated.
We
would be very happy to have you join this worthwhile fundraiser. Please

Environmental Education Committee members
WANTED: Someone with a “Green Soul” to help in coordinating and
implementing fun environmental activities throughout the school year.
Some events include Waste Free Lunch, Walk to School Day, National
Recycling Day and Earth Day. Help as little or as much as you
like. Contact: Korene Palazzo at palazzopack@comcast.net if

Friday
Popcorn Makers
Have you ever worked behind the counter at a movie theater? Did you
help make the popcorn? Did you know that the PTA has its very own
popcorn machine? Well—we do and every other Friday, classrooms of
children are treated to this healthy snack. Volunteer for this easy and fun position. Schedules are set
in the fall and you will be teamed with an experienced Friday Popcorn
Maker for the days you volunteer. No experienced required but you must
be able to deliver intact bowls of popcorn to appreciative staff and
children. Contact Jennifer Nemec at nnemecfamily@sbcglobal.net
Multicultural Event Volunteer
Have you ever attended Whiteley’s Multicultural Event and wanted to get
involved with it? Ever wonder why some countries aren’t represented?
There are so many ways to be a part of this great event. We are always
looking for people interested in representing new or already
participating countries, to help coordinate the Fashion Show and
Performances or to organize the games for the evening. If you would
like to see a country added to the event, we would love to have you.
Countries can serve food, participate in performances, set up a
traditional game or do all three! And if you would just like to lend a
hand to the event, there are plenty of people who need it. Contact
